Children born between 1 September 2005 and 31 August 2006 will be eligible to start in reception class at primary school in September 2010. You are encouraged to make contact with schools since the first step is for you to put your child’s name down at a school in the Bury area. However, any indication you are given by a school cannot be taken as a guarantee of whether or not a place will be offered. Each primary school has produced a prospectus containing detailed information about the school. A free copy of each school's prospectus is available directly from the school.

Important dates to note

* Timetable for Procedure:-

November 2009 - Booklets and Common Application Forms are sent to parents.

11 December 2009 - Parents to return Common Application Forms direct to the Admissions Team. Applications received after 11 December 2009 will be treated as late applications.

24 March 2010 - Notification letters will be sent to parents.
