The online system is available during the application period each year which is generally September to October for transfer age pupils and November to December for reception age pupils.
Parents who reside within the Metropolitan Borough of Bury can now apply online through this website for:
- places in the reception class of primary schools;
- places for children transferring from primary school to secondary school.
If you live outside Bury and want to apply for a secondary school place in Bury, you must apply through your home authority - links given below. However, you can apply through Bury's online system for a reception class place.
If you live in Bury, the facility to apply online for a secondary school place is now closed.
The facility to apply online for a primary school place will be open from 4 November to 12 December 2008.
If you do not have a home computer, you can access websites at a public library or at an internet café.
The process should be simple. However, if you need to speak to someone about the process, please contact the Admissions Team on 0161 253 7675 or e-mail admissions@bury.gov.uk.
When you have completed the form, you will be able to print or save a copy. You are given a unique reference number so that you can return to your form to make changes before the closing date.
If you provide an e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail, acknowledging receipt of your form.
