The Student and Pupil Finance Section is part of Financial Services within the Children's Services Department.

Financial Services and Student and Pupil Finance are committed to:
- Ensuring that the financial interests of the Children's Services Department are well looked after and maximised in accordance with statutory requirements and the policies and guidance of the local authority.
- Continually review, develop and improve student financial support, home to school transport and free school meals, within the regulations and legislative constraints, to meet the quality expectations of our customers.
Student and Pupil Finance currently provides 5 services:
- Student Financial Support to Higher Education Students (means-tested tuition fee grants, higher education grants, student loans and supplementary grants)
