Bullying

In order to ensure adequate advice and support is available to parents and schools on bullying issues, the Education Welfare Service will:

  • Provide advice and guidance to schools regarding bullying policies and their implementation.
  • Give advice to pupils and parents on how to deal with bullying situations and provide a positive link between school and home.
  • Give advice to pupils who perpetrate bullying in order to reduce the incidence of it, providing group work sessions, where required.
  • Develop and implement Authority wide strategies and initiatives to help reduce and eliminate bullying.
