Background information
Pennine Care is a specialist Mental Health Trust that provides both hospital and community services across a wide geographical area. It provides services across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside. For more information, see the Pennine Care NHS Trust website.
It is the role of the Joint Mental Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Pennine Care NHS Trust to srcutinse the services provided by the Trust and to contribute to the development of policy.
The Joint Committee is made up of 3 Elected Members from each of the authorities that make up the Pennine Care footprint - the area covered by the Trust. The relevant Councils are listed below:
