What are classes of information?

In order to help you find the information you need, the information that the Council publishes, or intends to publish, through this Scheme is divided into a number of 'classes'.
 
These classes are grouped into the following categories, reflecting the various services we provide, and the different kinds of work we do. You can trace the information you are looking for from these categories, which are divided into sub-categories, and then into classes, which describe in more detail what is available in the scheme. Each class of information will hold a number of documents which can be eg leaflets,plans,photographs etc and these will be constantly updated. To assist you in finding this information a section has been included in the scheme giving contact details.
 
Standard definitions have been given eg " Codes of Practice " and a definition of these terms has been included below.

Certain information within this class will automatically occur a cost. If a charge is applicable, it will be specified at the time of the request and will be payable in advance of the document being provided for all other information photocopying charges may apply.
 
** Some of this information may be exempt under Part 2 of the Act and other relevant legislation.
