Introduction
Team Bury is a network of geographic and thematic partnerships across the Borough which involve the public, private and voluntary sectors. This network of partnerships, co-ordinated by the Executive Board, is focused on improving the quality of life for the people of the Borough.
The Community Strategy for the Borogh is produced by the Local Strategy Partnership (Team Bury) and sets out a ten year vision, to make Bury a great place in which to live, work, visit and study". The Strategy is centred around nine ambitions that set out clearly the things we need to achieve to make our vision a reality.

Local Area Agreement: (2008 - 2011)
Bury's Local Area Agreement (LAA) formally approved in July 2008, refreshed in March 2009 and covers a three year period up to the end of March 2011. The LAA is essentially Team Bury's "Delivery Plan" for our Community Strategy. It sets out a range of key actions, with indicators and targets, to ensure we make significant progress towards our ten year vision and ambitions.

Local Community Plans: (2008 - 2011)
In order to connect the Community Strategy to the people and the physical communities that make up our Borough, the vision and ambitions have been translated into action plans at a local level, overseen by our Local Area Partnerships (LAPs) - these are called Local Community Plans. LAPs are the focus for Community Planning at this level and will take the lead in ensuring that local priorities are translated into local actions.
