The Council’s Social Care Departments have a duty to submit a set of performance indicators to the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and the Department of Health (DH). These are known as Performance Assessment Framework (PAF) indicators.
Some of these indicators are also classified as Best Value performance indicators (BVPIs) and used in our annual Best Value Performance Plan. This allows comparisons to be made on the performance of each authority, so that the standard of the services being provided by the Council can be monitored and improved.
The following page gives details of Bury's performance indicator results, guidance on how they are calculated and also additional statistical data on specific service areas within our Social Care services.
