Employee Achievement Awards
Bury Council is very proud of its staff and the efforts they are making to improve services on behalf of residents, local businesses and visitors to Bury.
We want to identify those individuals and teams who are making the difference. The Employee Achievement Awards is our way of recognising and thanking those people who are going the extra mile in delivering good public services.
Help us to find those people by nominating them for our public service awards. If you know of an individual or a team that you feel deserves recognition please complete the attached nomination form. Further background to the scheme and notes to help you with the nomination form are set out below.

ISO Standards
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a non-governmental network of the national standards institutes of 148 countries, on the basis of one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system. The ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 families are among ISO's most widely known and successful standards ever.
ISO 9000 is concerned with "quality management". This means what the organization does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer and applicable regulatory requirements and continually to improve its performance in this regard. ISO 14000 is primarily concerned with "environmental management". This means what the organization does to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, and continually to improve its environmental performance.
