Bury Metro Translation Services can provide translation and interpretation in a variety of languages through its established network of freelance translators and interpreters. A list of languages covered by the Service is included.
Translation Service
Translation of written documents (i.e. letters, leaflets, consultation documents, posters etc) can be provided from a variety of languages into the required language(s).

Proof Reading
Proof-reading of documents is undertaken to check the quality of work or to make any comments.

Typesetting/Layout
Typesetting/layout provided using latest community language software.

Artwork
The work is presented in a format specified by the client(s) and any artwork is undertaken by BMTS.

Braille/Large print in English can be arranged.
Interpretation Service
Interpretation face to face (or in emergencies over the telephone) interpretation is available to facilitate communication between officers of the Council and members of the public.

British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters/lip speakers can also be arranged.

Audio Recording - transcription and audio recording of documents can be arranged on request.

Language Testing
For departments interviewing for bilingual posts BMTS can assist and/or arrange language testing.

Telephone Interpretation
Over the telephone interpretation is available to facilitate communication between officers of the Council and members of the public.
