The Security Service consists of Community Response Officers that patrol on a 24/7 basis with a remit:
- to patrol Bury Metro buildings and land, checking for damage and insecurities and seeking to detain those persons who would attack our premises and interests.
- to respond to intruder and fire alarms, CCTV activations and to take appropriate action.
- to protect the safety and interests of council staff and members of the public using council facilities.
- in the event of a major incident to support the council's response.
