The Bury NHS Stop Smoking Service
The Bury NHS Stop Smoking Service is here to help smokers who wish to give up. All the evidence shows that people who get support with their quit attempt are more likely to be successful than people who don’t, regardless of whether they use nicotine replacement or good-old fashioned will power.

Quit smoking and start living
Being smokefree means so much more than simply quitting smoking. Don't think of stopping smoking cigarettes and tobacco as giving up. When you stop smoking and become smokefree you won't be 'giving up', you will be taking control and changing your life.
You have nothing to lose when you quit smoking and everything to gain
Quitting smoking will be one of the best things that you'll ever do. Imagine how proud you will feel after you have quit. When you have stopped smoking cigarettes and tobacco you will look and feel healthy, you will smell fresh and have more money.
You may have tried quitting cigarettes and tobacco before, most people attempt to stop smoking more than once before they succeed. You don't have to feel frustrated.
Imagine not having to worry about your health
Smoking can damage all areas of your body and causes serious risks such as cancer and heart disease. Imagine how good it will feel to stop constantly worrying about your health after you have quit smoking and become smokefree.
Protect your children's health
If you have children, quitting smoking and becoming smokefree will help to protect their health. Smoking can make you less fertile or increase the risk of having a miscarriage. It also causes health problems for kids such as an increased risk of cot death, asthma and meningitis.
