The Bury Employment Group, chaired by Jobcentre Plus, was formed in November 2004, and includes representatives from:
- ADAB
- Bury College
- Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
- Connexions
- Early Years Childcare Development Partnership
- Greater Manchester Learning and Skills Council
- Jobcentre Plus
- Manchester Enterprises
The Bury Employment Group has developed the Employment Plan to enable partners in Bury to define and agree specific priorities and actions to contribute towards the achievement of the Local Strategic Partnership’s ambitions, in particular the development of ‘Quality Jobs for Bury People.’
Many agencies commissioning and delivering employment skills training in Bury are committed to working together to ensure local people are able to meet the skills needs of existing and future employers to contribute to and benefit from Bury’s economic development.
