Procurement strategy

Following a comprehensive review and extensive consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, Bury MBC has launched its new Corporate Procurement Strategy to cover the period 2006 - 2008.  The Strategy provides a high level view of how the authority will achieve best value from its £90 million spend with external providers - safeguarding public expenditure and simultaneously supporting a mixed economy of provision whilst reducing bureaucracy.  Consistent with the National Procurement Strategy targets it covers Bury's approach to e-procurement and collaboration, describes how project planning will be used to improve procurement outcomes and explains how performance will be measured.
