- Local Area Partnerships
- There are six Local Area Partnerships across the Borough covering the areas of: Bury East; Bury West; Prestwich; Radcliffe; Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor; Whitefield and Unsworth.
The Local Area Partnerships have been created to promote partnership and community engagement at a local level. Each Local Area Partnership has a membership of local ward Councillors, community groups and partner agencies such as the Police, NHS, and schools. The focus of each partnership is to tackle the problems that affect people in their communities and to ensure that public service delivery responds to local need. Partnership meetings are held six times a year, usually in the evenings, in local community venues. They are public meetings and everyone is encouraged to attend. Each Local Area Partnership is chaired by a local councillor and supported by a dedicated Local Area Partnership Manager.
